Biography

Paul Sinkinson is from the Adelaide Hills in South Australia and studied a Bachelor of Music (Composition) at the University of Adelaide in 2011 under Graham Koehne. He has also graduated from Flinders University in 2014 with a Bachelor of Creative Arts (Screen).

Paul has been passionately playing piano for over seventeen years and has been involved in various fringe and cabaret shows, including playing cocktail piano, accompanying vocalists at concerts and auditions, and playing in bands and orchestras for theatre shows. Paul has been the rehearsal pianist and pit musician for various musical theatre companies in Adelaide. He was the Musical Director for the South Australia community theatre premiere of the broadway musical, Wicked and Mary Poppins regionally (2016). Paul has worked in Adelaide as a keyboard deputy on touring musical theatre productions including The Sound of Music and Singin' in the Rain (2016), 
Mamma Mia! (2018) and FROZEN (2022). He is also the Associate Music Director for the Australia tour of Friends The Musical Parody (2022).


Paul has completed a Master of Teaching (Secondary Music and Media Arts) at the University of South Australia (2017) and currently working as a resident Music Director, Accompanist and Repertoire Coach for the Bachelor of Music Theatre at the Elder Conservatorium of Music, University of Adelaide. He is also the Choir Director for the Sing for Joy Choir program across Adelaide with ACH Group.
